How does the credit system work?
Every action that uses an AI provider — chat, voice, design, builds, agent scans — costs credits. Your subscription comes with 1,500 credits each month. If you run low, you can buy a top-up that never expires. If a run fails (e.g., a build crashes, a generation errors), the credits are refunded automatically. You only pay for value you actually receive.
What happens during the 7-day free trial?
When you start the trial you get 100 credits — enough to draft a PRD, generate a few designs, and have a full conversation with the agents. No card is charged until day 8. If you cancel before then, you owe nothing. Anything you generated during the trial is yours to keep.
Do credits roll over month to month?
Subscription credits do not roll over — each month resets to 1,500. Top-up credits never expire. The split is intentional: subscription credits keep usage matched to recurring revenue (so we can predict capacity), and top-ups give heavy users a way to bank value with no time pressure.
What if I run out of credits mid-build?
We never cut you off mid-action. If a credit-gated request fails because your balance is empty, the agent shows a paywall with two paths: subscribe (if you do not have a plan) or buy a top-up. Top-up credits arrive in seconds via Stripe. Once the balance is restored, you re-trigger the action and continue.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from the billing page or directly through Stripe. Your subscription stays active until the end of the current period, and credits already in your bucket remain spendable. After cancellation, every artifact you created — code, PRDs, brand kits, generated assets — stays yours. The platform agents stop running on your account.
What runs the product I build?
Ship Something™ ships a production-grade Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind v4, shadcn/ui, Supabase, and Stripe foundation under the hood. You do not interact with the codebase directly — the platform handles building, deploying, and hosting your previews. When you are ready to take a product live, the platform helps you connect your own infrastructure and domain.
Is there an admin or unlimited plan?
Builders on the team have an admin bypass for testing and demos — set via the CREDIT_ADMIN_BYPASS_USER_IDS environment variable. We do not currently sell an unlimited plan; the credit system is the way to express "I want to use the platform a lot." The largest top-up ($50 = 1,400 credits) is roughly a second month of platform usage.
